GeeJay Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 First I would like to say a very big thank you for all the wonderful information available on this website :) After weeks of reading and gleaning info, I have successfully bid in both Amsterdam and Vancouver over the Dec/Jan period. Please could you point me to the correct board/post to find info on current 4* hotel options and winning bids in Whistler. We require 1 room for 1 night in Whistler on 13 December 2010.Any advice regarding what price to start bidding at and Whistler areas will be gladly received (we are not skiers - going for a fleeting experience of the snow, gorgeous views and village culture).Thank you

GeeJay Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Posted August 3, 2010 Thanks Yellowdog.I am completely new to this - so hang in there with me...I've noted the Vancouver winning priceline bid on the website :) On most of the websites that I have checked, 4, 4+half * hotels are going in the region of $129Our maximum budget for one night in Whistler at a 4 or 5* hotel would be up to $100 Assuming that it would be best to stay in Whistler Village area?I would love more assistance please.
thereuare Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 There is currently no 5* bidding offered in Whistler, the highest star rating offered by PRICELINE is 4*.With time on your side i would bid as follows:At the 4* level you have ONE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Whistler...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80If the above is rejected wait 24 hours and try again, bidding $85 and $90. If that too is rejected wait 24 hours and try again $95 and $100.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
