Hotwire Hotel: Cancun Hotel

Hi,

I'm tempted to accept a good deal from HOTWIRE but the only thing holding me back is the fact that I have stayed at one of the hotels listed and was fairly unhappy with my stay.

Maybe you can help me decipher what hotel is being offered to me.

Cancun Zone. 4 1/2 star .....$102 per nt

Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant(s) Pool(s), Fitness Centre,

High Speed Internet, Children's Activity Program, Golf Nearby

I'm wondering if it's The Hilton? I definitely don't want The Hyatt Cancun Caribe.

Current rate at The Hilton online for my stay is $179

If you go to HOTWIRE and click "view complete list of details" you'll see this property also shows a Tennis and Business icons... this makes it a match for the Hilton and that would be our best guess (it could always be another hotel that we don't yet know about with the exact same amenities and star rating).

Can you safely eliminate The Hyatt Cancun Caribe by matching the amenities?

We've never seen the Hyatt so we can't rule it out.

Here is a suggestion since this is a 5 nite stay... search on HOTWIRE for the first nite and then for the last 4 nites... see if what appears to be the same hotel appears for each of the two searches. If so, buy the first nite, if it's the Hilton (or some other hotel you like) go ahead and buy the remaining nites... if not stay there the first nite (at least it's cheap) and then make alternate plans for the remainder of your stay.

EDIT: just found these two listings for the Hyatt and they do not match the description above, so you should be 'safe', but of course you're buying an opaque product and are responsible for the outcome
