Hotwire Hotel: Help Identify 4* Hotel (Downtown and Town lake area)

4* Downtown Austin Hotel $99.00 Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access

Dates: Sunday August 1st through Wednesday August 4th, 3 nights.

I don't know what to expect, I've never used Hotwire, this trip will be for my birthday. So I hope to get a good deal.

What should I expect? I thought this would be a better option to save money, I will be in a group of three if that makes any difference on Hotel.

Maybe Priceline would be a better option?

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

When you did a search for the hotel, did you search for 3 guests?

In addition to the above, PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means you could receive a room with only one bed. You can request a room with 2 beds, but the hotel may not be able, or willing, to accommodate your request. (or there could be an additional charge involved)

On the otherhand, HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy. As there are multiple properties with the amenities above, to confirm we're looking at the same hotel, did you conduct your HOTWIRE search above for 3 adults?
