slimster Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I want to book a hotel in the irvine/ costa mesa zone in Orange County, California for sept 19 through sept 26 2010. Looking for a 3.5* or maybe 4*. Want to book in the $50 to $60 per night range.. Any bidding suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

slimster Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 I think a 3.5* hotel will be adequate so I mostly am searching for the best price. I have tried $45 in Irvine/ Costa Mesa zone and $50 in Irvine/Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach zones

slimster Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 I've tried over the past week or so to get a 3 1/2 * hotel in Costa Mesa/Irvine. I started bidding at $40 and eventually went up to $65 ... still no luck. So today I started at Costa Mesa/ Irvine 3* and bid $50.. not accepted. Then added Huntington beach and bid $55...no luck. Then added Disneyland/ Orange/ Garden Grove and bid $60... Bingo, got the Marriott Anaheim Suites for $60 a night. Very Pleased. First time user of PRICELINE. Will be doing this again
