Priceline Hotel: Need Help 4* 8/24-8/28

Hi- am new to PRICELINE and want to secure a 4* for no more than 80.00 within the union square area. I want to start around 67.00 and increase up to 80.00 if I have to. I don't really mind if it is east or west. What happens if I rebid and go out of both zones- what zone should I bid in for a third time to better secure that I would be placed in the union square area. Any suggestions? I know there are no guarantees on priceline.

Hey OR - There is a thread under General Priceline Tips that is titled Bidding again before 24 hours. This explains the free rebid. Please read it and learn how to maximize your bids. Also read other FAQ's to get a sense of strategy and how it all works. Deals in Aug and September are proving to be elusive and expensive. Not sure why - maybe the economy really is coming back.

You can also do searches for your dates with the calendar checker and for your city/area with the search function at the top of the board. Don't know if $80 will be enough, but once you start researching and bidding, you'll know. Then go for it.
