calazn Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 This hotel is right next too the airport (a plus for arrival/departure) but about 20 mins. from Old Port...I was expecting something closer...Rejected at $97Question: I specified Marseille, but this hotel is not even in Marseille. It's in Marignane Cedex, France. Do you think Priceline would void it? Romelle Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 You might have a case with Priceline. I put the hotel address on a Yahoo map, and then compared it to the Priceline bidding map. As near as I can tell, the hotel you got really is outside the shaded area of the Priceline map. You will want to do your own research first so you can site specifics, but if you really don't want the hotel it will be worth a run at them.I think I'd describe it in terms of the big highway numbers, and would map it out on a couple different maps just to be sure before I contacted them.RomelleYou can click right in the Priceline map and blow it up to see more detail.
yellowdog Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 calaznThanx for the follow-up and the addition of this new hotel to the Priceline Hotel ListPlease keep us updated. Yellowdog.
calazn Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 Thanks. I compared again and as you said, this hotel is really outside of the Priceline's shaded area. I will call them to discuss the possibility of voiding this bid.

calazn Posted August 2, 2010 Author Report Posted August 2, 2010 woohoo...Priceline called and offered to cancel this reservation WITHOUT A FEE after an email to Lisa Gillingham Senior Vice President Operations and Customer Service! Can you believe? I should have been compensated for all the work and time spent to get this reservation canceled! But I guess they do check their emails afterall :)time to bid for something hopefully closer to Old Port.
