rward2121 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I was excited to see the Intercontinental on both the Priceline and Hotwire lists, but didn't see the description/price on HOTWIRE. So, I started bidding on Priceline, at $50/night 4* downtown Milwaukee. I have increased by $5 each day and today finally bid and lost at $70. I would go up to $100/night for a 4* downtown. Location downtown is more important than star level, but I don't want to pay $100 for anything less than 4*. Any suggestions? Thanks! (want to check in on 8/20 and check out on 8/23). Also, I have been using PRICELINE link from b.b. site.

Midwest_Traveler Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 3.5* hotels are the Hilton and Hyatt. They are nice. Warning about 4* - you could get the Ambassador, which is around 17th and Wisconsin.Hotwire shows 3.5* for $154 for the nights requested. So, the downtown hotels must be full. Good luck on getting anything downtown in your price range.Hotwire is showing a 3.5* in the Milwaukee West area for $83. That should be the Crowne Plaza Wauwatosa, which is a nice hotel. There is a 3.5* in Brookfield, which would be the Sheraton. I'd take the Crown Plaza for $83.
