Hotwire Hotel: Bidding Assistance- Downtown July 31 for one night

I will be attending Bon Jovi concert and looking for 3.5-4* room for just one day. I wish if we can find something walking distance from venue (Soldier fields) but we can always take the cab.

Any recommendation to find a good deal?

My budget is $150 and I need one queen size bed.

Soldier Field is not within easy walking walking distance from any downtown hotel; one certainly could walk it, but it's a bit of a trek and it's not a walk that could be done at night after a concert.

Prices for this particular date are expensive and have only gone up in the last couple of weeks - the Summer season has been busy, but there's a marathon the day after this and the concert on 7/31 adding to the traffic and driving up prices. A number of hotels are sold out and/or not allowing check-in on these dates.

I'd suggest trying in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park zone, and trying starting at $130 and moving gradually up to $150 (which, given availability, may not be accepted.) If 4* isn't accepted, try in that zone at the 3* level (as the "known" 3.5*'s appear sold out.) starting at $125 and moving up by $5's. If nothing works out, move up to the NMA-River North area and try again. Given availability, this may be a very tough bid.
