Priceline Hotel: 3* Austin (Central) Holiday Inn Midtown

Multiple attempts in different zones. Rates seemed higher than normal for a non-football weekend.

Actually placed a bid for 2.5 in central zone. (hoping for Holiday Inn Express) Received notice of an upgrade?? to Holiday Inn Midtown (Previously Radisson and before that a Hilton property.) Stayed at this property once before. Next to Highland Mall (In the mall parking lot). Area has run down since its hay day. Manager claims hotel is undergoing renovation. (New towels, I think!)

I do understand that Priceline can upgrade to the next level if partners accept bids. It doesn't always work the way you expect. Although, I have also had this process work in my favor as well.

Rack rate for prepaid $76.00. :)
