mags62 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 I am new to Hotwire and Priceline and need help. Have read all your tips and think the following is The Wynn.5* LAS VEGAS NORTHNo resort fee.CasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurants(s)Business CenterGolf nearbyTennis nearbySpa Services95% recommendedWhen I ask for 25-29 September this one does not show up but when I put in 26-29 it does.25 is a Saturday night so could this be the reason? Do you think I should wait a few weeks before I try to book this and maybe the Saturday night might show up?I would also be quite happy with the Mirage or Treasure Island but can't work these ones out!!Thanks a lot.
AaronJB Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This would be the Wynn or possibly the Venetian. The property may not have discounted inventory for the 25th, which would be why the listing is not showing up for the 25th-29th. Unfortunately, there's no way to know iif inventory will be made available for the 25th, and while you wait, prices may change and listings may change (the listing for the 26th-29th may go away while you are waiting to see if inventory for the 25th may appear.) Unfortunately, there's no way to know. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Londongirl Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Wynn and Encore now charge $20 resort fee!
thereuare Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Do you think I should wait a few weeks before I try to book this and maybe the Saturday night might show up?As AaronJB pointed out, while you wait for Saturday nite to become available (which may never happen) these dates may disappear (or go up in price). Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? If so, you can purchase the above, then either:1) stay at a different hotel for Saturday nite (looks like you could get either the Aria or the Trump for about $150/nite)2) book the Saturday nite directly with the hotel you win (check first, assuming the above is the Wynn, if the average of the 3 nites at the price above and one nite direct is still a 'deal')Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
