amcdonal86 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Hi, I am interested in 2 rooms at a "resort" hotel in Key West from dates 8/8/2010-8/11/2010 (check in - out). I have bid all the way up to $106/night, but I still haven't won. What do you recommend I do?
amcdonal86 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 By the way, Priceline says I can win right away if I raise my price to $126/night. So how far higher do you think I really need to go?
yellowdog Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 It's difficult to answer when priceline will take your bid. But if you bid in $5 steps would you be ok.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.PS. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
amcdonal86 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 Ok, I have bid $108 and $110. Still no luck! Hopefully $112 does the trick!!!!!
yellowdog Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Good luck! Let us know the result.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 As an option should you current bids get turned down (or if this property happens to work well for your plans), HOTWIRE has the Casa Marina Resort for $129/nite.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Keep us udpdated and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
amcdonal86 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 $112 didn't do the trick. Neither did $114. Thanks for the info about Casa Marina. However, I'm really hoping to get the Hyatt Key West Resort, as I see a few wins on here for that property.
AaronJB Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Best of luck on bidding and thank you for keeping us updated. Nothing is guaranteed with PRICELINE (and different dates will likely have different inventory/availability, so while others may have gotten the Hyatt for other dates, there's still no way to know for sure what you may get for your dates), but hopefully you'll get the Hyatt.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
