Hey, im new to the forum and hoping for some help. I tried to get a 4* Hotel in downtown Philly, starting with a bid of 60 and went up to 75, but no luck to book. This is for a middle week booking on 9/7/10 - 9/10/10, so i was hoping that i might get a better deal for the middle of the week. Anyway, at $70, i got a rebid offer for a $15 increase to $85, but closed out the browser, reclicked on the Forum PRICELINE link, and tried $75, but got another rebid offer for $90.

Anyway, i was hoping to max out at $75, so i am wondering if anyone can offer advice / timing on when to try and rebid again.

P.S. I've added new zones each time i rebid with areas that do not have 4* hotels.

Thanks.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

At this time, the "right' number is somewhere between $76 and $90. If $75 is your maximum bid there really isn't much more you can do other then wait it out and continue to bid, hoping that lower priced inventory will become available between now and your stay. However, keep in mind that while you're waiting for prices to drop, they could move in the opposite direction and become even more expensive.

Is $75 going to be your maximum bid for this stay at this point in time?

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping to max out at $75, but i definitly will try for $76 at the 4* rating, and if that doesn't work, i'll probly try for a 3.5* hotel back at $50 or $55.
