You gave me some great advice in the past and Im back for more.

I need a room in White Plains for 2 nights on July 27 and 28....I want to bid on 3.5 star hotels in White Plains. I would like to win the Hilton Rye Town with all the trees or the Renaissance. I understand that I might get a new hotel not listed on the board.

I'm not sure when I should start bidding...is it better to wait until Sunday night...also...what should I start the bidding at...$75 or more? I have a bidding strategy with the 3 rebid zones that dont have 3.5 star hotels. Im just not sure of the amount to start at and when I should start bidding. The AAA rate on the website for the Hilton Ryetown for the nights I want is $185 per night. The Renaissance is $179.

Here is my bidding strategy for White Plains which I based on the strategy you gave me for Times Square last year. Does it look right. any advice...thanks

If I dont win a 3.5* hotel in White Plains, I would try for a 3.5* hotel in Tarrytown. I dont want a 3* hotel in White Plains because there is a hotel listed (Residence Inn) that doesnt have a pool and I would like a pool for my daughter. thanks

3.5* Westchester County (Rye-White Plains) , Renaissance Westchester $120 ... 7/27/10-7/29/10

I bid up to $90 for a 3.5* hotel in White Plains and didnt win so I switched to bidding on 3.5* star hotels in Tarrytown..I always used your website to access Price.ine. I bid up to $90 in Tarrytown with no luck.

I then switched back to bidding on 3.5* in White Plains because I had 2 more bids left. I finally won a 3.5* in White Plains for $120 per night for 2 nights. I won the Renaissance Westchester which was really nice. I requested a room with 2 double beds with the hotel by phone and they were fine with it. I asked for a room with a view of the woods and they gave me a room with a beautiful view. They had a nice pool and hot tub and great fire pits outside on the patio. The kids roasted marshmallows. The only problem was the hotel was hard to find even with mapquest instructions. You have to drive around four circles to get there so I don't think I would ever go back there but the kids loved all the activities...tennis, volleyball, horeshoes, swimming, and the fire pits.

3* Westchester County (Rye-White Plains) Crowne Plaza, $60 ... 8/4/10-8/5/10

The very next week I had to go back to White Plains and I bid on 3* hotels in White Plains. Before I started bidding I checked the website for the 3 *Residence Inn in White Plains and they were sold out. I was glad they were sold out because I didn't want to win that hotel. I then went to your website to access Priceline. My first bid was $60 and I won the Crowne Plaza. I was very happy with the price and the hotel was much more centrally located right in the middle of White Plains. It was close to where I needed to be and I didnt have to go around in circles to get there. They were renovating the Lobby so it didnt look that great but I was happy with the price and the location. The room was very nice. They had a free shuttle to the train station and the airport. The pool was ok and the kids loved the mall nearby. If I was traveling to White Plains again I would stay at the Crowne Plaza and not try for Tarrytown or the 3.5 star hotels because of the location and the low price. Thanks for your bidding help and I always come to this site to access Priceline.
