Didn't want to play the Priceline game, so even though their were winning bids for $45, I put in a bid of $55. It was immediately accepted, but for the Doubletree North Shore.I needed another room for my parents, so I put in a second identical bid (Priceline even confirmed), but this time for $45.Wouldn't you know it, Hotel Orrington was the the winning hotel. AaronJB Posted July 25, 2010 Report Share Posted July 25, 2010 Congrats on your success and thank you for the compliment on Betterbidding. :)Interesting result, and certainly great rates for both properties - maybe both parties could switch hotels after the first night (although it's a bit of a trip between the two - I sort of wish PRICELINE would offer Skokie-Niles and Evanston as separate zones) and try the other (although whoever checks in at the Doubletree gets the Doubletree cookies.)
