First tried 4* Arlington at $60, which I didn't think would be accepted but figured I'd try since I would have liked the Hotel Palamor. Rejected. Added a zone that has no 4* hotels, increased to $65 rejected. Logged out. Came back in, selected 3.5* Arlington at $65 (looking back I should have tried $60 first), hoping to get the Marriott Key Bridge, that was accepted and I got the Marriott :-). Then I decided at that rate I could accept the offer to add days and I added another day to my stay (especially since my air fare was $50 less on the day before) and not kill myself trying to do too much in the summer heat, that was also accepted. So I ended up with 7 days at $65, with taxes total of $537, which is almost half the cost of the hotel web site. Better bidding forum once again came thru for me. It gets a little tricky adding zones, but everytime I've followed the advise on the forum it has worked. I couldn't be happier.

Congrats on your success!

Excellent deal for a week in DC - I have to imagine the heat wave that's been over much of the country this Summer has factored into travel planning for many people. Glad you are pleased with the deal, as well.
