kairitn Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 New to the Priceline bidding system and would like to get some help :)Were are looking for accommodation in NYS for 14-21 September. Our budget per night would be 130 dollars incl. taxes. We are not sure what we can get for this, so we are looking for tips as to what star rate to bid on. We would prefer to stay in TS, ME, MW, ESB area and walking distance to subway.
AaronJB Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, September is a busy and expensive time in NYC, and a week-long stay may make it more difficult to find a deal. $130 with taxes/fees included would be a bid of approximately $104. With both regular rates and HOTWIRE rates running high for these dates, I'm afraid $104 will not likely be acceptedl at 2.5* and above and may even be difficult at the 2* level. Additionally, bidding 2* and below in NYC is generally not recommended, as some of the possible properties may not be great and could have other issues. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 What is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel thru conventional booking channels for this stay??Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
