saspers07 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Hi all,I'm looking to find a hotel for 15 nights from Sept 30 and could do with guidance. It's for 2 adults and we'd like to be on or near I-Drive, ideally located within walking distance to some restaurants. We'd like a pool and parking, but other than that we are not too fussy as long as the place is clean!Has anyone had success recently in this area? Thanks guys.
yellowdog Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) If you want to be close to Sea World got for I-Drive South. If you want to be near Universal go for I-Drive North. I think the South area is better but i you want to be close to the action and restaurants woud the North zone be better. You need to go for 3*+ if you want to be sure to have a Restaurant. If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the rating for the hotel. If you have any additional questions so just post.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
Jennerizer Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I live just north of Orlando & when I stay on International Drive, I choose Wyndham Resort. I know some have issues with it, but I think for the price you get a decent room and an awesome pool. Actually 3 pools. The landscaping is beautiful and there is even an ice cream shop on the property which is convenient. It's not overly crowded and the staff is always friendly. It's within walking distance to quite a few restaurants and there is also a trolley that will take you up & down I-drive for a small fee. I just used this site & got the room for a $38 per nite winning priceline bid. Before finding this site & taking a chance on PRICELINE, I was paying $75 with a Florida Resident discount. Good luck!
saspers07 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 The Wyndham sounds ideal for our needs. I was looking to budget a max of $50 so a $12 saving would be perfect! Thanks for the recommendation :)
AaronJB Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Rates and availability vary by dates - bidding is often a case-by-case situation; what one user may be able to get for a certain set of dates is not necessarily what another user may be able to get for another when using PRICELINE. I'm guessing that most properties in this area do offer pools, but PRICELINE does not guarantee a particular amenity. What would be your desired budget per night for this period?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
