juanma
I'll be arriving in NYC on the 14th for a conference an (will take place at New World Stages) but then I want to take advantage of the opportunity and stay a few more days. I'm thinking $ 150 is fine, but everything I found online is just crap. I don't really care where on Manhattan, as long as I get my own bathroom. Anyone would like to donate 2 minutes of their time and help me with an strategy? My wallet will be forever thankful.THANK YOU! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! What is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept? Are all areas of Manhattan acceptable... include UES and UWS?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. juanma
I would say 3 and if nothing happens, 2.5. Do you think $150 a day is feasible for those?I prefer MTE, MTW, TS, ESB but if that doesn't work, I don't mind going further as long as it's Manhattan.Thank you so much for your time, really appreciate it. thereuare
Do you think $150 a day is feasible for those?Possibe, but not likely, imo. If you are successful i think it would be near the very top of your budget. We'll suggest a strategy for you to follow, but before doing so a question or two...You're bidding MTE, i assume you're ok if you land the Millennium UN? It's generally a well reviewed property, but it's about a 15 minute walk to the subway, is this accetpable to you?I notice you're not biding CPS and/or MSG which are often some of the lower priced zones at this star level... do you want to include these in your initial bidding as well? In the CPS zone is the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms, even by NYC standards, so this would be a hotel you'd need to be "ok" with if you decide to include this zone in your bidding. There are no 'caveats' that i'm aware of for the MSG zone and it's generally considered fairly convenient for the typical visitor. Also, any thoughts on the Chelsea zone and including this one too?Let us know your thoughts on the above zone inclusions/exclusions and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
