Any tips how to get rooms in Westin Copley Square in Boston for the dates 08/22-08/24?

I would book it directly. If you bid on PRICELINE, you have no guarantee whatsoever of getting a specific hotel.

Maybe a better question is: "Any tips for getting a hotel that IS LIKE the Westin Copley?" That could be workable.

being that it is the Copley - back bay area, wanted to know if this one comes across as the one from Priceline for a bid in a certain range.

There are only a handful of 4 star hotels in that area.

Suppose that were true...

And say the Westin's rate is always around $160...

And, hypothetically, the W Hotel is always around $110...

So you bid $160 because you want the Westin and you don't want the W...

But then what if the Westin isn't offering any rooms that night?

Then you'll win the W, and you will have paid $50 more for it than you really wanted to.

And you'll feel bad.

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

I see a 3.5 star in Theatre district with:

smoke free rooms,fitness center, restaurants, business center,high speed internet access, tennis nearby.

Any idea as to the identity of this property?

Hoping for max 130 per room.

4* is 179-182 for the Westin.

Failed at bidding at 130 for 4* as well.

Would like the Sheraton Boston 3.5* if possible.

However, this is priced at $309/nite... are you seeing a different price, as this would appear to be way over your budget (and the original Westin you were seeking closer than this one)

do not see the 3.5* I saw before.

now, I see

3.5* with smoke free rooms,fitness center, pool,restaurants, business center,high speed internet access for 229, which is more than the Westin as well.

will keep looking .....
