briteangl8 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Hi... I've been checking out Hotwire for San Juan and today a new option popped up for my search. Here's the details:9/4/10 - 9/7/102 Adults4*$119Amenities:ResortPoolRestaurantsBusiness CenterInternetThis is the first I've seen thats a resort but no mention of beach or casino, which threw me for a loop. Also, if it's worth mentioning, the taxes and fees are really high compared to other properties I've seen (adds $100 to total). They also mention a $10/night resort fee.Recommended by 100% of Hotwire users with only 30+ reviews. Sounds like maybe its new to Hotwire? Anyone seen anything like this out there? Thanks!
yellowdog Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I think that this property is the Inter-Continental with a new amenitie combo. And i would like to add that i get 95% of Hotwire users with 500+ reviews and 20%/room resort fee on my search. But to be on the safe side. Change your search to 3 adults. And you'll see a 4* W/Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Hi-Speed Interent, Business, Laundry, Tennis, Spa. This is a match for the Inter-Continenta.Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.PS. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
briteangl8 Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 Thanks... I see that one too, with the same amenities... it looks different, the exact one I was describing is no longer appearing in the results at the moment.I wouldn't think it would be they same property because the taxes and fees were so much higher on the other one. And the resort fee was lower. For the moment... holding off. Thanks!
briteangl8 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 Just as a quick follow up - I ended up booking a small guesthouse rather than a larger resort/hotel and did not use Hotwire to book. Good luck everyone!
