Need a car that can comfortably fit a family of 4 - mid-size and above is a-ok.

I have a costco membership, and it's my first time using PRICELINE and HOTWIRE.

Any issues with me being an out of province driver (from Ontario?)

My insurance says that they cover me for rentals, so no worries there.

So?? Any thoughts folks?

in Canada...in Calgary 100% of the time.

All the prices I'm seeing is in the $600 range, taxes in...

Thanks for the welcome - great to be here!

You shouldn't have any problems that i'm aware of renting, afterall, most car renters are from out of town (and thus the reason why they need to rent a car :) )

I'm assuming the $600 quote above includes your Costco discount? HOTWIRE has a mid-size car for your dates for $41/day... $408 all-in which would be a nice savings vs. your quote above. Would this work for you or do you want to try bidding on PRICELINE?

The $600 doesn't include Costco. How do I use my costco card to get a further discount?

If I can get something cheaper via PRICELINE, I'll give it a shot. $408 sounds great all in tho!

$15/day for a mid-sized car through PRICELINE was rejected (total was about $220US). Will try $20/day tomorrow and re-post here.

The cheapest I can currently get is $427.69 (CDN), taxes in for a mid-sized car.
