Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC Hotel 10/18/10 to 10/30/10

Hi everyone,

I'm a first time PRICELINE user from Australia and am looking for a 4* hotel in NYC for myself and my boyfriend, in any of the following areas:

- Empire State Building

- Midtown East

- Times Square

- Central Park South

- Chelsea

Is it wishful thinking to try and win a room for $180 - $200 a night? It is 12 nights, so quite a long stay. Is it necessary to split the booking?

I've never bid on PRICELINE before, so really need some help with a strategy! We'd also be willing to go to a 3.5* if necessary.

This is our first time to NYC, so any advice would be much appreciated.

Is there a reason you're avoiding the MTW zone? Most users bididng for a 4* include this zone unless there is a particular hotel in the zone they're trying to avoid.. is this zone of interest to you?
