ilikestuff Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Hi everyone,I'm a first time PRICELINE user from Australia and am looking for a 4* hotel in NYC for myself and my boyfriend, in any of the following areas:- Empire State Building- Midtown East- Times Square- Central Park South- ChelseaIs it wishful thinking to try and win a room for $180 - $200 a night? It is 12 nights, so quite a long stay. Is it necessary to split the booking?I've never bid on PRICELINE before, so really need some help with a strategy! We'd also be willing to go to a 3.5* if necessary. This is our first time to NYC, so any advice would be much appreciated.Cheers!
thereuare Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is there a reason you're avoiding the MTW zone? Most users bididng for a 4* include this zone unless there is a particular hotel in the zone they're trying to avoid.. is this zone of interest to you? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
