laurelw Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Thanks for all the explanations and tips. Sun., Jul. 18, ~ 1:15 pm. 4* Renaissance LA Airport $70 for 7/26/10I just won my first Priceline bid, through your link, for a 4* hotel in LAX Zone 7. Bid $55, they gave me the chance to try again at $70. Tried to counter with $63 but message said had to be minimum $70. Didn't want to mess with re-bid adding zone for $7 one night so changed bid to $70 and won.

laurelw Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 His bid was rejected but suggested $90 which he took, similar to my bid ($15 higher). Is this common with Priceline? Does it mean they would take something in between if you re-bid? I was only staying 1 night so no big deal but on longer stays it adds up.
yellowdog Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 laurelwYes, this is common with Priceline. Please see this link: Priceline Suggests Price to Pay Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
