thereuare Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! The amenities above match both the Wynn and the Venetian so either of these are likely, BUT, both charge a Resort fee which creates a shadow of doubt that this is one of these two properties. Here is a recent reply i posted regarding this property:Caesars has no resort fee and has previously been reported with this amenity combination... but at the 4.5* level, perhaps it has been upgraded? While possible, i don't know how much i think this is likely, but it would explain the "no resort" fee situation (as Caesars does not charge a resort fee) It's also possible that this is one of the previously guessed hotels but HOTWIRE has not updated their system yet to reflect the resort fee (i don't recall if we have seen Wynn or Venetian listed with a resort fee in the past) OR perhaps the hotel has waived the resort fee, or included it in the room rate, for HOTWIRE guests. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. hbrn Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Thanks - it also said the hotel had a 95% recommended rate? There is also a 41/2* hotel north strip the same nights which I assume to be Ceasars. Do either of these help?
thereuare Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 If you saw a 4.5* property matching Caesars then it would exclude the 5* above from being that property... also, i just found current HOTWIRE offerings for what i believe to be the Wynn and the Venetian, and both showed a Resort fee associated with the offering, so not really sure of this one due to the "no resort fee" identifier. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. hbrn Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 Sounds like maybe the Wynn doesn't charge fee through HOTWIRE?
thereuare Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Based upon a recent post last nite, that's my guess as well. (at least thru this amenity combination, i think it's possible that thru another amenity combination used by this property that the Resort fee does show... which would go with an earlier theory that it's just a matter of the systems not being fully updated yet)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. shlimak Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 so if its says no resort fee and its a mistake will they charge me?
hbrn Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 I too would like to know if you still have to pay the resort fees. :)
thereuare Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 I would go on the basis that you will be charged the resort the fee, which would be paid directly to the hotel.Afterwards, you could probably sort it out with HOTWIRE.However, if the resort fee will "make our break" this stay for you then error on the side of caution and seek a different offer.
