Kuttah Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Can't thank you guys enough for having such a useful forum, kudos!!! Ok, so i'm trying to get from Buf to Sea from July 20th to July 26th (i know, its right around the corner!). Here's the thing, because I don't have an US credit card (Have a Canadian Card), I have to sign in to my Priceline Profile, which allows me to store my Canadian Credit Card info. I have been using your techniques and your PRICELINE link, but sometimes I get a message that says: "Although we could not find an airline partner willing to accept your specific request, here are the best Name Your Own Price options and the lowest priced published fares available for this trip. These options are only available for a limited time and all tickets are subject to availability." Under which I see the cheapest published fare for those dates, or a cheaper price for different trip start date. Is this happening because I'm logging into my Priceline profile to purchase? Or is this a standard message when a bid is too low?Other times I get a message saying that I've attempted to do this trip a few times and I have to change one of the options (red eye, up to 2 connections, etc.). I hope I've explained myself well, if you can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
thereuare Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! The message you're receiving has nothing to do with whether you're logged-in or not... it's simply that your bid was not accepted, and PRICELINE knows you need airline tickets, so they're cross-marketing a 'retail' airline ticket purchase since they know you're "ripe" for a purchase. You should be able to avoid the duplicate bid message by following the techniques in the second post of this Priceline Airfare Re-Bidding thread.Keep us updated to your progress and let us know if we can be of further help with your bidding. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
