misp Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 HiI tried $160 for 4 nights (7/27/10 to 7/31/10) and did not go thru. I was hoping to get the Inter-Continental. Saw posts sying they;ve got successful bids at $140. Any ideas why my bid was rejected ?Do you think it is wise to wait for 2 more days and try $165 ?Thanks
thereuare Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 If you check the InterContinental website for your dates you'll see that they're sold-out. While we do occasionally see rooms won at hotels which are otherwise sold-out, it is much more the exception than the rule.Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Are other zones in the Boston area acceptable? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. misp Posted July 17, 2010 Author Report Posted July 17, 2010 Thanks a lot Thereuare for your input. I went upto $190 for 4* in Harbour , Quincy and Waterfront but no luck. I think it was because I wanted 4 nights. Your idea of splitting the stay worked. I got $185 for 2 nights at Ames and $180 for 2 nights at Millenium. Thanks again.
AaronJB Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Very good deal, and the Ames looks like a very nice new property from the Morgans Hotel Group. Can you confirm which dates were successful for the Millennium and which for the Ames?Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link.
