Priceline Hotel: 4* Phoenix (Scottsdale) Scottsdale Plaza Resort

I was 100% sure while reviewing that I had clicked RESORT instead of 4*. I called Priceline the following morning to explain that an error had occurred either on my computer or internally on their system. Since they do not have a cancellation policy they performed something by exception which I don't think should be abused, but I am telling you for your knowledge. They said they would be willing to cancel the 3 night reservation but that there would be a charge of one night ($65). I must now have a confirmed booking at a RESORT in Phx for those dates in order to get the $65 back.

Anyways I'm back to the drawing board and looking for a RESORT for those dates between $65-$95 per night. I think I will keep my search to North Scottsdale so that I can avoid the Scottsdale Conference Centre that everyone seems to get. Most bids for the Princess Fairmont come in around $90 so I'm hoping to get it around there.

Thank you to those who run this site, it has been such a great help and I will update you once my RESORT is booked.

Best regards,

Luke

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Glad to hear that PRICELINE was able to offer an exception - this is sometimes seen when wrong dates or areas are selected, as well. Please do let us know if you need help bidding for a resort property. :)

If you would like help with the 'replacement' property for this stay feel free to start a NEW TOPIC.

Thank you for sharing your result with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.

Thanks Aaron. I actually would like some help with the resort in PHX if possible. Should I post in a different section? I went through the entire list of Resorts in the PHX area on PRICELINE and noticed that lots of people have been successful in the (NORTH) region in the $55-65 range, but so far I have put in a bid of $65 for North Scottsdale, Scottsdale, and North regions for 3 days in November (11th-14th). From now on, I will only bid in the North Scottsdale, and North regions of Phoenix as those are what I'd prefer. I also noticed that most people get into the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, while a few get in to the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, and then a very small amount into the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. In the Scottsdale North Region, I haven't seen anyone in anything except the the Princess Fairmont (which I would be thrilled with and willing to pay 80-95).

With all this being said, perhaps I should wait a month or two? It seems as though if many many people were able to get in to the PHX North region for 45-65, then perhaps it's poor timing.

Any advice at all is much appreciated.
