Janer Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Hi there,I'm looking to book a hotel in New York for a longer-term stay, 8 nights to be exact. The dates are September 9-17.I'm trying to keep costs down and would like to pay $100-150 per night, if possible. I want something central, close to the subway, decent reputation, etc.I'm wondering if someone can provide advice about which areas and star ratings I should consider in order to stay within this price range. Is it harder to get a deal with longer stays? Is a 4* in this price range totally unrealistic? Thank you!
AaronJB Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)September is a particularly busy and expensive month in NYC, due to conventions and nicer weather. Additionally, a longer stay may be problematic in terms of finding a discounted rate for 7+ nights straight. Unfortunately, I think a 4* for these dates in that price range would be unrealistic. In terms of central location, are there PRICELINE zones that would be unacceptable in terms of location? Would you be primarily interested in Midtown? Would your desired max/top budget be $150 "all-in" (including taxes/fees) or $150 + taxes/fees?Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
