littleJ Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Hi,Just wanted to ask your opinion. I found a 3.5* hotel in Back Bay, for 09/09 thru 09/14 for US$144,00 per night.I believe it's the Sheraton (Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access)Do you guys think it's a good price for the period or should I wait a little bit and see if it drops. I was looking for a 3*, but this one seemed like a better deal compared to the other options.Of course, I am using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
yellowdog Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 I'm sorry to say that there's no general answer to your question. Please see this link: Should i Bid Early or Close to Arrival Date Let us know how we can help you further.Yellowdog.PS. Thanx for using boards PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links :)

littleJ Posted July 17, 2010 Author Report Posted July 17, 2010 Hey there,I used the PRICELINE links and bid for a 4* up to $100, got rejected, closed the browser and started over with 3.5* up to $100, got rejected again, tried 3* up to $100, still nothing, then went back to 3.5* and got the Sheraton Boston for $120 plus the $10 bonus per night.I was hoping for a lower rate, but I guess september is a busy month in northeast U.S., but I think it's a very well reviewed hotel and I am really excited about it.Thanks for all the help.
