Intended for a long weekend getaway, the hotel was booked from Thurs through Sunday. As an airport hotel, it obviously gets less traffic over the weekend, hence a lower rate. Friday and Saturday were booked for $63 each and $156 after all fees. Made 1-day before check-in offer on Thurs for the same rate was rejected, and counter-offer of $76 and $97 after fees was taken on by me. Total trip cost is $253, reasonable for the season.

It was interesting to learn that rates vary greatly according to locales. Downtown hotels charges more during weekends in summer than their counterparts near airports, and vice versa.
