Priceline Hotel: Philly 4* Hotel 7/17-7/19 Help

Just found your site, and have not used Priceline before for bidding on hotels. I need a hotel for my wife and 2 children for 7/17- 7/19. I am fine with showing up and asking for a double bed, so Priceline can work for me.

I want a 4-star, hopefully Loews, something close to the historic district. I saw that people are winning starting at 70. At what price should I start bidding? If it does not go through the on the first bid, what should I do.

I just want to point out that PRICELINE only guarantee a room for two adults. That could mean a room without a double bed. Is this a risk you're willing to take?

I want to stay in the downtown area, in a 4*. My max budget is up to the rack rate, which is up 200/night. I would like to shave some off of that! Dates are 7/17- 7/20

I am willing to take the risk on the double beds, since my kids end sleeping with us anyhow!

I have already taken a shot at priceline-

Bid 1 -65 for downtown-

Bid 2- 70 downtown and Cherry Hill

Bid 3- 77 downtown, gloucester, cherrryhill

bid 4 -100 downtown, glocuester, cherry hill, center line

At 100, it is still requiring me to change something. What to do?
