Kieransher Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 Hi,Going to New York as part of our Honeymoon. 3 nights, 7th to 10th September 2010. I am new to all this but have been reading through the boards and would like to give Priceline a go. My max budget is approx $200 a night. Would like something central (just doing the usual shopping and main tourist sites). Would like a lot of things to be within walking distance but dont mind using Subway or cabs. Would like a 4 star but dont mind going 3 star. Would be happy pay my max amount and get a good central hotel rather that getting a poorer hotel for less.Hope this is enough info and thank you in advance for any help.
thereuare Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! To begin, if you go to PRICELINE and look at the zones for this area, are MTE, MTW, CPS, TS and ESB all acceptable? Also, are you familiar with re-bidding? See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained (at the 4* level you have SIX re-bid zones, at the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones, at the 3* level you have ONE re-bid zone... feel free to confirm your re-bid zones with the board and/or ask questions if you're unsure and we'll break it down further for you)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
