chargergirl Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Just won 3.5* Double Tree for $80 per night 7/24-7/28. I did not realize that they had rooms with only one queen bed until I checked their website. I don't think the whole PRICELINE thing is for me. I will be a nervous wreck until I see our room. Vacation has the possibilty to be a great deal or a real dud depending on the accomodations. By the way I used the PRICELINE link from this board to do my bidding. The board is a great resource and I was glad to support it.
AaronJB Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)Excellent deal for a DC-area Doubletree - can you confirm that this is the Doubletree in the White House-Downtown area? The Doubletrees in DC look like very nice properties, and the money saved versus full price can go towards quite a few other things.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
chargergirl Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 This is the Doubletree at 1515 Rhode A.ve NW. This was a great deal

chargergirl Posted August 15, 2010 Author Report Posted August 15, 2010 Had a great stay. Wonderful property and more than a great value!! They were not able to accomodate our bed request. However, they did let us upgrade to a junior suite and I was able to negotiate with them on this price so for what we paid and the cleanliness, location and service of this hotel it was a steal.
thereuare Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Glad to hear you were able to worth the hotel regarinding the upgrade and bedding type you wanted... i bet the deal became even sweeter with the upgrade!
