oasiswings Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Hey there this is my first time on both this forum and using hotwire to book a hotel. I am a little skeptical and need some reassurance before booking.I have been quoted 104$ Toronto West with 75% recommended and the following ammenties:-smoke free rooms-pool-fitness centre-restaurant-business centre-high speed internetwhat 4 star hotels in toronto west meet these criteria and is it worth booking with hotwire?
tilepusher Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding, oasiswings. This set of amenities has been previously reported for the Sheraton, Renaissance, and Intercontinental Yorkville. Given that the hotel is recommended by 75% of Hotwire customers, my best guess is the Renaissance. As for whether booking through HOTWIRE is worthwhile, we'll need your check-in/check-out dates so that we can determine your other options. If you decide to book this hotel, please start your purchase from the HOTWIRE link on this site.
oasiswings Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 our dates are july 23rd-25ththanks for your help
thereuare Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Assuming this HOTWIRE offering is one of the above, the Renaissance is ~$150 with the other two properties at ~$200... so using the least expensive rate, is ~$50 savings worth the 'unknown' factor for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. i_love_vacations Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 I believe the property is the Sheraton. If it is indeed the sheraton. Here's my experience back about 4 months ago when I stayed there for 2 nights. The room I got was in the Richmond Tower of the hotel (staying as a very large group for an event) and although the rooms weren't bad and the sight was of Nathan Phillips Square. The Elevator Service was extremely terrible. It refused to work sometimes and you'd actually have to take the stairs down. Also the bathrooms weren't that great, looked pretty old. I think this hotel needs sort of a renovation. Other than that, it is at the best location in Downtown Toronto. It is connected to the Eaton's Center so going for food or shopping is extremely EASY!I was told that it was only the Richmond Tower that was like this, the other tower of the hotel was excellent. So if you do end up going for this hotel, try to avoid the richmond tower.
