HanMiles Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 I've tried bidding for a 4* in Midtown West and Central Park South up to $205 for Sept 12th 2010 - Sept 14th 2010 with no success. I really don't want to go much higher, but I would be willing to add Times Square, Midtown East, and Upper West Side. However, I doubt that would do any good.Should I consider dropping to 3.5 or 3 stars? I'm nervous about the quality, but if I can get it for around $150 I might be happy. My wife and I are only there 2 nights, and don't care too much about the hotel, just want something clean and relatively quiet.
thereuare Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! While i agree that a 4* win at $200 or under will likely be a stretch for these dates i would at least try adding the other zones before lowering your star rating. Besides UWS, MTE and UWS... is ESB also acceptable to try?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. HanMiles Posted July 16, 2010 Author Report Posted July 16, 2010 I have bid up to $165 for 3* 9/12 and 9/13 in MTW, CPS, and TS. No success. I bid up to $185 for 3.5* for same dates and areas. No success.I'm starting to get discouraged.
