Priceline Hotel: Resort Maui failed bids Oct 19-24

Been trying for the Wailea Marriott for the last two days for these dates:

Day 1 - 85, 90, 93

Day 2 - 94, 95, 99

Got re-bids by adding the non-resort zones. Any suggestions? Everyone has seemed to be getting this hotel for $90-$99 per night. Am I bidding too far in advance of my stay perhaps?

Would like to get in for $110 max. Have not realy set a hard max yet though. Also depends on the price I can get on Kauai where we are going for 4 days afterwards as well. Currently hoping for the Sheraton in Poipu for $130 or less, which I think I can get as I got a counter-offer today at $135, but stopped my bidding at $120.

If you're not successful at $110 i'd wait it out for a bit and hope for lower 'opaque rates' down the road... but if you are rejected at $110 i'd try to find a fully refundable reservation to use as a back-up.
