sevensanders Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Thank you for having this forum! I was getting fed up with the idea of paying $70+tax/night for the Super 8 (according to family that was the "best/cheapest hotel/motel in the area) ... I'm one of those "coupon ladies" who doesn't pay full price for anything, and typically we don't need hotels so this is a new area of deal finding for me!Based on the posts here I went for a 3* in Grand Junction (a little leery of the 2* rating for fear I would get some of the poorly reviewed motels) ... honestly was hoping for the Courtyard or Residence Inn, but I believe we'll be very happy with the Grand Vista for $42/night! We just need a bed to sleep in and a decent pool for the kids to swim in since we're driving 14 hours to get there!Priceline took my first bid of $42/night, so perhaps I should have started in the $30s ... either way we're saving $26/night off the price of the Super 8 that other family members are staying at so we're very pleased...Thanks!SevenSanders
