vinnievinny Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Bid up to $96 for 3 rooms in downtown Vancouver for Aug 6th to Aug 9thWill try again later via your link to PRICELINEDo you think it is generally harder to get 3 rooms from PRICELINE?
thereuare Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Generally speaking 3 rooms is not an issue... it's only an issue if the hotel with the lowest price has only loaded one or two rooms into the system to be booked, but as PRICELINE and HOTWIRE are usually used by hotels to fill excess rooms which the hotel thinks it won't otherwise sell on their own, they usually make available more than just one or two rooms (although some hotels historically do only 'drip' one or two rooms at a time into the system)HOTWIRE does have what i believe to be the Sheraton Wall Centre available for your dates for $115/nite... how high are you willing to bid for this stay? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your bidding. vinnievinny Posted July 6, 2010 Author Report Posted July 6, 2010 I am trying to book 3 rooms for 6 adults and 2 children for VancouverIn Hotwire, if I enter 3 rooms for 3 adults, I get a 5* hotel for $143/nightHowever, if I enter 3 rooms for 6 adults and 2 children, I don't get this 5* hotel at all...Does anyone know why? Also, can I book 3 rooms for 3 adults anyways, will they not let us check in if all of us show up (i.e. 6 adults and 2 kids?)Thanks!Vinnie
AaronJB Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Rates and availability will change depending on the amount of rooms and guests. Some hotels may not offer rooms on HOTWIRE for more than double occupancy. Is the 5* showing when you search for 6 adults and no children? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
vinnievinny Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks for the response.Attempt 1 on hotwire:3 rooms, 6 adults, 2 kids. The 5* hotel does not show upAttempt 2 on hotwire:3 rooms, 3 adults. The 5* room hotel shows up.My question is if I can book using attempt 2 and at check in time, the whole gang shows up (6 adults, 2 kids). Will they not honor the HOTWIRE purchase?
