Three couples traveling to Chicago (Cubs game) looking to stay in this area for two nights Thur-Fri (7/15-7/16). Please help identify these hotels:

3.5* No Smoking, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet, Tennis (90% Recommend) $159

3* Bed Choice, Boutique, No Smoking, Restaurant (70% Recommend) $134

4.5* Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet (95% Recommend) $274

Already have rooms reserved at Courtyard ($189 + TX) however can cancel anytime w/o fee. There was another hotel, however it was take out today (been following this for about a month). Just looking for a clean place to stay, can you recomend one of these?

I have seen the Hyatt Reg (loop area?) at $135 on Kayak and Priceline so this is also an option.

Great website, have recommened to several people, thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Let me take a look and see what is available. Be back momentarily. Just to confirm, are you looking for 3 rooms/6 adults? Are you driving or flying in?

If you are driving, I would recommend:

The Hotel Sax, which is $177 on Expedia. However, Expedia has a non-refundable deal where parking is also included. Certainly a nice bonus, as parking in Chicago at hotels is very expensive.

Additionally, if you are driving, the 'burbs would definitely be less expensive than downtown, but it would be a trek to get to Wrigley (drive to public transit, then transit downtown, or drive downtown.)

If you are not driving in:

When searching for 3 rooms/6 adults on HOTWIRE, there is a 4* in the Mag Mile-Streeterville area for $112 w/fitness, business, restaurant, internet, spa. This would likely be the Hyatt.

In terms of the HOTWIRE listings:

The 3.5* NMA has not yet been ID'd, but may be a downgraded Avenue. The 3* would likely be the Tremont (which I wouldn't recommend) and the 4.5* would likely be the Sofitel.

I don't see the Hyatt come up with 3 couples, however I do see it with 1 and 2 couples. I am going to look into the Sax (THANKS for the info)

We all live about three hours from Chicago so we will be driving in. I see the Hyatt comes up on many travel websites for ($135) must be open. Thanks for the information, I am going to hold out until the weekend. As long as I already have rooms I am going for the "home run" price. THANKS again for the info!

Unfortunately, there is no way to know if prices will go up or down within the next few days, but if you do want to wait, in a few days please "bump" this thread (by replying to it) and I would be happy to take another look at what is available at that point.

Loop has a hotel for $94 nt (4 Star) Fitness, Pool Restaurant, Busines Center and High Speed I-net (85% Recommend) can you identify this hotel? Still looking for next Thur and Fri. How far is the "loop" from Michigan Ave? Would you recommend this hotel?

This would likely be the Palmer. It is maybe a 15-20 minute brisk walk to the Michigan Ave. area, or you can take the subway a few stops North. One note is that there is not much going on in this area after dark - if you are looking to be out after dark, I'd recommend staying in the NMA area rather than staying in the Loop and taking a cab back at night.
