We booked a stay @ Parc Soleli for July 17-20. Didnt have avabiality for Friday july 16. We are two adults 2 children. We are just looking for a nice clean hotel just to sleep one night. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me to ID these 2 hotels for july16.

1) 2.5* $39 LBV. Dawntow Disney. Amnimities:

Smoke free

fitness cntr.

pools

restourants

loundry

H. speed internet

Rec. 80% c. rew.

2) 3 * $35 Disney maingate Celebration hotel. Amenities:

Smoke free

Fitness cntr.

pool

bussiness cntr

Loundry

H. speed Internet.

Rec.70 % C. rew.

Hopefully to spent no more than $40.

I tend to belive that a hotel could be clean and better kept in LBV @ 2.5 * than 3* @ Celebration. I rater spent $10-20 for a nicer (clean) place

Do you think I could have better chances w/priceline?

P.S . As you see I could find the link Post a new topic. Where do I go to get the link.

Thanks. I wish you could just respond and not post this part of the question. Thanks any advice woul be great

Hi yellowdog.

I purchased Buena Vista Palace on HOTWIRE 3/30-4/1 /10. $83/night. I did post than when I booked it. So I closed up my thread.I saw it posted than. Forgive that I do not know haw to follow up. I was trying to locate it and I cant find my old posts exept welcome one. That was one of my questions as you saw I posted my topic in a wrong spot. So where can I locate my new topic or reply link and conect it to my other old post. I feel horrible for being so ignorant and I am grateful for this site and your help.

I've merged your two previous threads (one with the win and one with a 'help' request). In the future keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread, and you can always find your previous threads as follows:

When logged in click your name on the top left corner of the board, then on the left side of the page, under your Profile choose the OPTIONS dropdown menu and selected "Find member's topics"... this will show you all previous threads you have started (likewise selected "Find members' posts" which show you any replies you made to any threads")

For your stay above, please go back to HOTWIRE and check of the 2.5* LBV property also has a Business icon in addition to the amenities you have listed above.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Hi Thereuare.

Thanks for coming to my rescue. Yes you are right .LBV. 2.5* has bussiness cnter too. Also is 75% rec c. rew. not 80 %. I would take one that is cleaner regardless of * or rate or location since is only one night.

I saw one with brakfeast sign 3* $35 in celebration is not appearing the brakfeast icon any more. I wonder if that is still the same. I am so happy you helped me out I can finally move on. My last question is if this two hotel are not appealing to me what are my chances of going w/priceline. I saw in the calendar of wins Radison for $29-32 range. I would be wery happy with Radison. I went before and is very clean.

Thanks again.

The 2.5* is a match for the Orlando Vista so that would be my best guess for this one.

The 3* Celebration property matches previous reports for both the Baymont Inn and Suites Celebration as well as the Best Western Lakeside so either of these would be my best guess here.

Doubletree Castle hotel I saw on Travelzoo for $49/nite.

I also got in my inbox $59 for LBVfor july 16 Dawntown Disney. When I went to HOTWIRE I didnt see it there. There was a $59 Dawntown D. 3.5* could that be LBV?

I will wait for you response and than I will proceed.

Thanks

Did the HOTWIRE email specific state that the $59 hotel was in the LBV zone OR did it state that they have found a new lower rate for your LBV search??

When you search HOTWIRE is there a 3.5* hotel offered in the LBV zone? If so, how much is it?

I tried two ways Orlando: Orlando and LBV. I get the same results in both ceases.

I guess thats part of bussines game to get the customer to look in their homepage site.

P.s. Did you get my question and my plan about priceline? I am exited and wandering if I will get stucked

or will I know to click the right buttons and to preeced.

I tried two ways Orlando: Orlando and LBV.

When you search HOTWIRE doesn't know which zone or star rating in the area you're seeking, so i'm guessing the HOTWIRE offer came from the criteria you entered in the search box. So for example, if you had entered Disneyworld in the search box, the same offerings would appear as if you had entered Orlando or LBV, but any email sent to you associated with that search would read "Recently you found a 1 night stay@ Disneyworld LBV hotel from july 16-17 for$144. We just spotted a lower price. (it shows $59 4* LBV hotel frid july 16-17.

If you're now looking to bid on PRICELINE let us know your desired star rating, the zone(s) you're willing to accept and your maximum bid... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Can you please list the zones, using the names as they appear on the PRICELINE website, one per line... it's a little confusing above as i'm not sure exactly which zones you're referring to.

The HOTWIRE hotel above is above the limit you have set for 3* PRICELINE bidding.

Let's backtrack a moment... what is it that you want for this stay? If give the choice, do you want a 3* hotel for $40 or a 4*/Resort property for $60? Is the lowest price most important or having a guess as to the hotel you may receive most important?

Thanks. Oops !I should have write under "add reply" instead of "New Topic". Lowest price is not my priority but I want to feel safte and secure. We might be arriving late @ night.

Maybe in a 4*I would most likely be safer.

But I wouldn't want to spent more in a 4* for this if I can find a 3* hotel in a good area. I thought customer rewiew could be a good hint for this. In this light which area would be my best bid for a 3*hotel?

Or should I just go for a 4*. I would not realy want to spent $60 if I can find something good enough for $50. I get it that Hotwire has an educated guess. I am curious and I wanted to try priceline just for fun.

Could you help me with a strategy what area should I bid , star level and price. I hope this is not more confusing than the last one.

I also would like to avoid paying parking fee &resort fee. Maybe to find what I am lloking for this fees are anavoidible.

Thanks.

You have to accept that you're making an opaque purchase and there are certain criteria that you will not know until after your purchase. At any star level there may be hotels which are 'good enough' while there are others in the zone that you would be less favorable to receive... you have to choose a minimum star level which you think offers the best chance to meet your needs.

Thanks for very patiently trying to be helpful. I wish I did a better job in keeping my thoughts clearer in fewwer words. I am temted to just give up and purchase somewhere ellse for $49 deal.

After all this hard work you have done the smallest reward for you would be that I keep up till the end. I am hopping it will pay off with a good surprise.

My dates July 16-17.

3* and the more the better hotel. Biiding price maximum $40.

First choice zone: Seaworld-International Dr.-Convention center. I am hopping for Radison)

Second choice zone: Universal Orlando Resort Area -International Dr. North

Third choice zone: Lake Buena Vista Dawntown Disney

Please could you help me with a biiding strategy. I would realy like to try tonight if I get some help haw to go about.

Thanks.

I'm still not entirely clear, so i'll go with what i think most are looking for...

The least expensive 3* or better hotel in the SW, Universal or LBV zones with a maximum bid of $40??

If this is correct, at the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

I started my bid as directed Seaworld 3*@$25. Rejected. Than I changed the price to $28.

It states: "Pl. verify the following info to continue your request. Pl. Change one part of your original request."

What am I missing here. Is there a 'Rebid "link I should click on. Or what are they asking me to do? I even tried to change the price to $30 I got the same statment.

How should I procced

You can't just change the price and bid again... as indicated in the strategy above, you need to add a re-bid zone, of which you have TWO re-bid zones when bidding 3* in this zone. Please read the Priceline Re-Bidding Explained thread and confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding again.

So I need to add a rebid zone ? Lets say my next zone is Universal. And do I need to increase the price each time make sense I guess.

And if rejetdet lets say Universal 3* @28 than on rebid I add LBV. 3* @30 if rejected I close the browser to start again. I must have drow you crazy long ago .

Thanks for putting up with me ignorant "dummy". Your patient is well apriciated.
