Priceline Hotel: help Portland 8/3/10-8/6/10

I've been bidding Portland downtown since 6/13 and no luck.

Started at 4* $50 added 3.5*

And I'm already at $70

Even tried 3* $60 and added zones: Downtown Portland, Northwest Portland, Convention Center - Lloyd Cente

I've seen other wins at lower prices. Can anyone help me?

Never been to Portland so I thought it would be best to stay downtown. Maybe other zones are also good?

Rates are dates specific, so you may not be able to replicate the same rates as others if demand (and therefore rates) are higher for your own dates than for the dates of others who have won for less.

Are you familiar with and using your re-bid zones? (see: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) What is your maximum bid at each star level? What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels?
