im getting married in maui and would like to save some money if possible..

i saw that alot of people got great deals on Wailea Marriott Resort but when i seach another website for my dates it shows that resort is unavailable..

does that mean i will not get any hits from that resort?

does anyone think any of the resorts in maui are bad? looks like whaler is the bottom one.. should i stay away...

i would love to land something aorund $100..

what is the bonus cash everyone talks about?

thanks

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. :)

The best place to check hotel availability is directly at the hotel's website (not thru a 3rd party or agency) and in your situation i see that the Marriott is indeed currently sold-out for your dates. However, upon further inspection it's really the nite of 9/12 that is sold-out... there is availability when searching 9/8-9/12 (although the nite of 9/12 apears to be very expensive) While we have seen hotels won thru PRICELINE and HOTWIRE when their hotel website indicating a sold-out condition, this is more the exception than the rule, so i wouldn't expect to win when a hotel is selling sold-out, but it does happen. Not sure if you're willing to change hotels during your stay, but you may want to give this thread a read which may help in your bidding if you decide to pursue this stay thru PRICELINE: SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID

Note that the Whaler has not been won in a few years, so i would say the chances of receiving it are low, but hotels do disappear from the system and often eventually return, so it's up to you if this is a risk you're willing to accept or not. If you're not willing to take this risk, or would like to have a guess as to the hotel you may receive before your purchase, you may want to give HOTWIRE a try as well, searching for your dates and seeing if anything appears within your desired zone, budget and star rating.

As far as bonus money, it's was a PRICELINE promotion which recently ended, but you can read about it here: Priceline Bonus Money

Let us know how you'd like to proceed or if you have any additional questions and we'll take it from there.
