Convention Center, White House downtown. Dupont Circle and Georgetown might work out too...

Do you want to include Dupont Circle and/or Georgetown in your bidding or not?

You'll have to decide what works for your needs, but many on the board include Dupont Circle in their bidding... most usually do not include Georgetown except for difficult/expensive dates or a specific need to be in that area.

At the 4* level you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Convention Center, White House and Dupont Circle...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $100

Any questions feel free to ask.

perfect thanks.

Also have another question...can I bid one zone at a time and what's the difference in doing so?

Like:

Selecting 4* Capitol first, do all the rebid zones, then close browser and restart selection 4* central downtown doing all my bids and the close the browser and select 4* Dupont Circle and do all the rebids??

I see these two different methods of bidding in different forums and I am wondering which one is the best to be used.

Thanks again

You wouldn't want to bid like this in your situation since you could end up overbidding. This this example...

The best rate in the Capitol Hill zone is $100 and the best rate in the Dupont Circle zone is $80... bidding each zone separately as you describe, you would win the Capitol Hill hotel at $100 and never give yourself a chance to win a hotel in the Dupont Circle zone for less. Bidding the zones together as outlined above you would win a hotel in the zone which has the less expensive 4* hotel. Does that make sense?

How much more per nite would you be willing to spend for a hotel in the Capitol area vs Dupont Circle?

no anymore than my original plan. Is that a problem? if so I am just going to follow your first advise. Thanks again

sorry to bother you again...now after searching the site I am wondering, if I do not win a hotel at a decent price, I would think about adding 3.5* hotel...when and how should I do that? I will consider only White House and Capitol for the 3.5*...sorry again and thanks for all your help!!

Why don't you try the 4* bidding up to your limit first... if you're rejected we'll cross the 3.5* bridge at that time. :)
