Good afternoon. This will be my first post as I have just joined. My question is I selected 4* and up with magnificent mile and north michigan ave. as my area options in the hotwire search. My dates are 7-10/7-11 one room, one night, two adults. The following four results showed up.

1-Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville area Hotel 4*- $112 per night. Fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, tennis nearby, and spa. Recommended in 85% of hotwire customer reviews. 500+ total reviews. Tripadvisor four out of five.

2-Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville area Hotel 4.5*-$149 per night. Non smoking, fitness center, restaurant, business center, and high speed internet. Recommended in 80 % of Hotwire customer reviews. 500+ total reviews. Tripadvisor four out of five.

3-North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast area Hotel 4*-$143 per night. Boutique hotel, fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, and golf nearby. Recommended in 60 % of Hotwire customer reviews. 400+ total reviews. Tripadvisor 3.5 out of five.

4-North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast area Hotel 4.5*-$167 per night. Fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet. Recommended in 95 % of Hotwire customer reviews. 300+ total reviews. tripadvisor 4.5 out of 5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This will be our first overnight outing since we had our first child. She's ten months old by the way. I promise to use the HOTWIRE link at the top of the page. Thank you.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

My guesses:

1: Swissotel

2. possibly Intercontinental

3. Whitehall

4. possibly Sofitel.

I'd take the Whitehall out of the running entirely. The Intercontinental is a fine property, but the Swiss is an excellent and comparable property a few blocks South for $37 less.

I think it's a choice between the lowest and highest price; if you are looking for a very nice 4* at a terrific rate, the Swiss for $112 is definitely a wonderful deal. If you are looking for something even more upscale, the possible Sofitel (4.5* NMA-WT-GC) would be a fine option.
