julesbravo Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 My wife and I are heading out to Vegas for our anniversary, I'd like to stay in a nice hotel at least one of the night and I know Thursday night will be a lot cheaper. So I'm willing to split nights if I have to and do a 5* one night and stay somewhere else the other nights, but wouldn't mind staying there all 3 nights if I could manage it.My budget is $400 for all 3 nights. I've never stayed in any of the nicer hotels in Vegas so any recommendations would be great, we don't mind if there's not a casino in our hotel as long as there's one a close walk as we usually bounce around anyway. North or South strip are both fine, if we have to we could even stay downtown for the other 2 nights.
AaronJB Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Is your desired budget $400 "all-in" (w/taxes/fees) or $400 + taxes/fees?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 HOTWIRE has a 5* hotel in the South Strip zone for $125/nite with Restaurant, Pool and Fitness icons. This is a match for both the Aria and the Vdara so either of these would be my best guess for this one. After taxes and fees the all-in total is $425 and then there is also a $15/nite resort fee payable to the hotel.Would this be within your budget so that you could stay at the same 5* hotel on the strip for all three nites and not have to change hotels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. julesbravo Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 Doh! I used your PRICELINE link, but they took my first bid. My wife really wanted to see the Golden Nugget pool and I prefer lower limits so we booked there. I saw that HOTWIRE had it for $59, so I figured PRICELINE couldn't be too far off so I started at $50, and they took it. Was going to work my way up $2 by $2 until I got to $58. Oh well $50 for all nights isn't bad.
AaronJB Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)Superb deal for this property, and all the money that you saved can go towards other things in Vegas.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
