shc Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Can you suggest a starting bid $ with Priceline for a 5* Strip North Sun 8/15 to 8/18?
yellowdog Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) We wouldn't want to suggest a bidding strategy that is over your budget so please post your max bid per night. And have in mind that some resort fee's are $17-$20/night in this zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
shc Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 I would not want to pay more than $110/night, including resort fees.
thereuare Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 As resort fees are unknown, we'll err on the side of caution and assume $20 and therefore cap your bidding at $90. You don't mention if $110 should also include taxes, so i'll assume not, and you can stop the following strategy at whatever dollar amount you would like. At the 5* level you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90If the above is rejected (or also note before your begin bidding) that HOTWIRE has a 5* hotel in the Strip SOUTH zone for $79 (+$15 resort fee) which would come in under your $90 bidding limit. Best guess is the Aria or Vdara, and if these are acceptable, you may want to stop your bidding above at $85.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Any questions feel free to ask.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
