Started at $45 bidding on 3 1/2* and nothing until $52 and got the upgrade to this 4* The comments on tripadvisor for this hotel are not great.

Let's hope the hotel is better than the reviews. I always take the TA reviews with a grain of salt. And keep in mind with TA reviews that many of those people paid full price, which is often significantly more, and may have different expectations at those price points.

Just stayed at the W for a few nights this month. Be happy you only had to pay $52. The place itself is nice enough - nothing special, and what I would consider a borderline 4 - more like a 3.5. Nice lobby area with bar. The furniture in the room itself seemed a little outdated. The bed was very comfortable. The kicker at the W is the $12 a day parking and also you have to pay daily for internet service. Before you now it, you've added $20 or more a day to the price of the room! Compared to what they charge for a room if you go through the hotel, you still got a really good deal, but there's other hotels in the area just as nice that don't stick to you with all the add'l fees.
