This is my first post. I found a three star hotel on HOTWIRE located in downtown Albuquerque. We are visiting there from July 19-25, 2010. We will have a rental car. Is there any way to know if there will be a charge for parking? thanks,

DH and I will visit Albuquerque and Las Cruces starting July 18, 2010 and spend a week in each city.....exploring for possible retirement destination. What is the best time to book price-wise....book now or do you know if it is it better to book closer to arrival time?

There is no set way to know whether prices will raise or fall closer to the dates. While prices can fall, they can certainly go higher if it's a busy season, there's an event going on or conference. However, in terms of having the dates only be a couple of weeks away though, it's getting within that "last minute" time frame and I would think substantial changes in price from what they are now are probably going to be unlikely.

Best of luck in your search for a retirement destination. If you are looking for retirement in somewhat cooler weather, there are some absolutely beautiful areas in Wisconsin.
