I am trying to find a 3-4 star hotel within the D.C. area--preferably near the White House for March 5-March 13, 2005. I am willing to offer up to $110 per night but obviously the lower the better. After reviewing the postings -- I am still unclear on how best to achieve my goal. I would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through the process. I

thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please look at the Priceline map and tell us exactly which zone(s) you are willing to bid on.

A quick look in at least one zone that i think you're likely to consider shows rates that vary greatly throughout the course of this stay... is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID and option?

My priority in zones would be:

1. White House-Dowtown zone

2. Dupont Circle

3. Georgetown

4. Capitol Hill

5. Crystal City

6. Arlington

I am not sure what you mean by bid splitting...but I am certainly interested in any advice or recommendations that you might have.

thanks!

Is price or zone more important?

The underlined text above regarding splitting your bid is a link which explains what splitting your bid is all about.

Let us know if you have any questions about splitting your bid and whether or not this is an option for you. Also let us know regarding the importance of zone vs. price, and we'll take it from there.

Yes, I am open to splitting bids. Also, as long as the zones are within the beltway...I am more interested in getting the best price.

thanks again for your help.
