Priceline Hotel: Resort in Waikoloa, Big Island unsuccessful

I'm trying to win a resort in Waikoloa on the Big Island and I've bid all the way up to $110 without any success for the dates of: 9/16 - 9/21. I've seen bids on here on this wonderful forum for the Hapuna Prince as well as the Hilton Resorts for anywhere from $75 - $110. Anyone know why I've been unsuccessful? Is it possible that the time range is too far out? Or that the resorts have all stopped using PRICELINE for that area? Thanks for any help!

It's possible that your dates are too far out as we have not yet seen wins in this area for after the summer months. However, if you're looking to get this done asap, i also suspect you're not too off from a win if you're willing to bid another $10-$15 per nite. If you're willing to be patient i'd book a refundable back-up and continue bidding twice a week at this point in time... more frequently if you're still not successful at the end of July.
